Program Objectives

To provide safe, supervised before and after school activity for children of both working and non-working parents.

To provide an environment that promotes the development of personal and interpersonal relationships between and among children through one-to-one and group activities.

To provide developmentally appropriate structured and unstructured activities indoors and outdoors.

To provide tuition assistance where appropriate.

To promote parent involvement through membership on the Board of Directors (several Board members are parents of children in the program) and as Cooperators of our non-profit corporation.

Several of our board members are aging out and we are looking for new members! We conduct five meetings including one dinner meeting. Typically, meetings are held for an hour and fifteen minutes. If you're interested, please contact Heather Gatesman at hgatesman@gmail.com.

The Before and After School program is Year Round! It is available on all regularly scheduled school dates and “in-service” days.

The morning session begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends 9:00 a.m. The afternoon session starts at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. On scheduled half days, the afternoon session begins immediately following dismissal.

When school is delayed due to weather conditions, the program is delayed accordingly. A child may be registered for morning, afternoon, both, or any combination of mornings and afternoons, Monday through Friday.

Temporary care will be considered where space permits. This type of request and the appropriate forms must be completed in advance of using the program.
